  What is TobraVis Combo and what it is used for

TobraVis Combo contains tobramycin with antibiotic action and dexamethasone (a corticosteroid) with anti-inflammatory action.

TobraVis Combo is indicated for the treatment of inflammation and prevention of possible infection of the eye.

Your ophthalmologist can prescribe you TobraVis Combo and for decreasing the inflammation and prevent possible infections of the eye following cataract surgery.

How to use TobraVis Combo

Always use TobraVis Combo exactly as your doctor has told you. You should check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.

The drug is only administered locally by instillation into the lower conjunctival sac of the affected eye.

Dose and administration

The usual dose is 1 drop in the affected eye (affected eyes) every 4-6 hours. After cataract surgery during the first 24 to 48 hours, your doctor may increase the dose to 1 drop every 2 hours in the affected eye (affected eyes). Depending on your progress, the doctor should gradually decrease frequency of administrations.If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor or pharmacist

• • Adults and the elderly:

  The medicine should not be used longer than 24 days.Use in children and adolescents:TobraVis Combo is not recommended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years.Contact lens wearers:If you wear contact lenses, remove lenses before using the medicine TobraVis Combo.Administer the eye drops and then wait 15 minutes before putting lenses back in place.If you use other eye drops:If you have to use other eye drops too, these can be administered 15 minutes before or after administration of TobraVis Combo medicine.

  How TobraVis Combo looks like and the contents of the packaging

  TobraVis Combo is a white or almost white suspension, which may present a sediment that is easily redispersed upon shaking.TobraVis Combo is packed in carton box containing one 5 ml LDPE bottle, closed with HDPE screw cap with safety ring and LDPE dropper.
